VESTRY

The Vestry is the legal representative of the parish in all matters concerning its property and finances. It is also the duty of the Vestry to call a Rector, provide for the Rector’s support and to cooperate with the Rector for the promotion of the spiritual welfare of the parish. To be eligible for membership on the Vestry, one must be a communicant in good standing and at least 18 years of age.

Members are elected at the annual Parish Meeting for three-year terms. Officers are elected annually by the Vestry. The Vestry meets monthly (on the 2nd Tuesday of each month) and a Vestry Retreat is usually held once a year. All Vestry members are expected to attend the Retreat and the annual Bishop’s Day with Wardens and Vestries.
