EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS

 

      Eucharistic Ministers assist the priest in performing liturgical services of the church. This ministry includes reading the Lessons and the Prayers of the People, serving as a chalice bearer and sometimes serving as an acolyte.

To become a Eucharistic Minister the following procedure should be followed.

• Indicate to the priest your desire to become a Eucharistic Minister;
• Be interviewed by the priest;
• If accepted, a training period is required. The priest determines the length of the training period as well as when the person is ready to be included in the regular schedule.

A coordinator for the Eucharistic Ministers develops an annual schedule and also handles the scheduling of readers as needed for special services as they occur.

All Eucharistic Ministers must be licensed by the diocese every three (3) years.

Annual Church Picnic August 1st after 10am service. Location will be the church backyard. Our purpose is to build closer relationships with members of the church, to fellowship, and most importantly to have FUN!!!
